Melissa Tada, OD

Dr. Tada has been in practice in Colorado Springs since 1999. She graduated with distinction from the Southern California College of Optometry.  Previously a high school science teacher, Dr. Tada thoroughly educates her patients about their eye health.  She enjoys all areas of primary care optometry, from treating red eyes to working with children, managing chronic ocular disease to specialty contact lens fitting.  Living in the dry Colorado climate, she has a wealth of experience in treating dry eye syndrome.  She is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Colorado Optometric Association and the Southern Colorado Optometric Society. Outside of work, Dr. Tada's interests include hiking, biking, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Dr. McMullen is a 2000 graduate of Pacific University College of Optometry where she graduated with distinction.  In 2004, Dr. McMullen earned her Fellowship in Binocular Vision and now specializes in pediatric optometry and the treatment of visually related learning problems. Dr. McMullen also practices general optometry, including family eye care, treatment of dry eyes & ocular disease, LASIK and cataract surgery co-management, and contact lens fitting. Dr. McMullen has worked with and lectured extensively at local schools to emphasize the importance of efficient visual functioning. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Colorado Optometric Association and the Southern Colorado Optometric Society. Dr. McMullen is married and has two daughters.

Holly Thompson
Office Manager/Optician
Holly is an ABO certified optician and has been working in the vision field for over 15 years.  She enjoys working with all patients and excels at fitting children's glasses.  Holly also handles billing for the office.  Her favorite things include her black lab & going shopping.

Jaye Smart
Receptionist
Jaye has a wealth of experience in customer service, and we are happy that she joined the staff in 2011.  She ensures that all our patients are scheduled, greeted, checked in, and well taken care of while visiting our office.

Judy VanderBroek
Optician
Judy has over 15 years of experience in the vision industry.  She enjoys all aspects of fitting patients with glasses and has a wealth of knowledge in the optical field.  She is great at helping patients find the right eyeglass solutions for their specific vision needs.

Lori Reed
Optometric Technician
Lori joined our staff in 2011, bringing over 20 years of experience in the eye care industry with her. She enjoys utilizing the latest optometric technology to help patients see their best.

Barbara Crow
Optician
Barbara has many years of optical experience and will always greet you with a smile.  She loves helping our patients become more educated about their vision needs.  In her spare time, Barbara is an avid reader.

Michelle Martinez
Contact Lens Coordinator/Optometric Technician
Michelle brings over 8 years of eye care experience to our practice.  She has worked with pediatric to geriatric practices in both optometry & ophthalmology.  Michelle is involved with many aspects of the practice, including patient testing, contact lenses, and front desk.

Jeanna McMahon
Optometric Technician
Jeanna is joined our team in 2011 and has 5 years of experience in the optometry field.  She is happy to be a part of our staff, to be applying her strong medical & health background, and to take care of new & established patients of all ages.

Karen Perea
Receptionist/Vision Therapy Coordinator
Karen started with the practice in 2011.  Her background is in education & administration, and she keeps us all well organized in the office.  She enjoys interacting with patients of all ages, and she handles all patient vision therapy training.
